Is Hubpages a Scam? HELL NO It’s Not And Here’s the Big Secret to Making Money With Hubpages
One site I use a lot when building up my blogs is HubPages. You may wonder why I bother with a site that I WRITE the articles for and only get a 60% cut of the money. Here’s exactly why I recommend Hubpages to beginners and still use it to this day.
First, Hubpages makes me money. I’m always attracted to something that will increase my income. While I only get 60% of the dough collected, that’s 60% more than competitor EzineArticles pays me.
Second, the reason I write for HubPages to begin with is because they bring traffic to my blogs both directly and indirectly. Hubpages has good natural ranking in Google and so if I write an article on Brazilian Frog Shoes, I know I have a good chance of ranking high for that particular term. People might click through the links to go to my site directly which will automatically increase my blogs traffic. At the same time, the link in the HubPages article will improve my site’s rank in Google.
Google sees the link as a sign saying hey people are talking about this blog. We should move it up because it must be relevant to Brazilian Frog Shoes. So my blog moves up in Google rankings and this makes me much more money.
And this is the point of using Hubs to make money. I make a few bucks off Hubpages every month (actually the other day I had a $5+ click – yes from one click) and then even while the articles are making me money, I still score off my improved search engine rank.
And this is a little bit advanced for beginners, but when you get a little more fancy – and here’s the secret to HubPages I was talking about – you can test the difficulty of a market by making articles targeting certain words. For example, say I want to make a blog about Icelandic Tattoo artists. If I write an article over just Icelandic Tattoo artists and it automatically ranks high in Google for Tattoo artists in Iceland, I know I have a soft niche I can dominate with my little blog.
Of course along these lines, you’ll also be able to see your page impressions for ranking on the first page of Google for these key terms and thus how much traffic you will receive from ranking that high. As an added bouncing bonus, you even see if the ads convert to clicks. Sometimes ads don’t work in a particular niche. Sometimes your CTR (click thru rate) is high and other times it’s low. So that’s about 20 reasons why HubPages is awesome. You can use it as an advanced scout marketing tool in all sorts of fashions.
