Actually Making and Owning Your Own Website

Some of you reading this may be thinking there’s simply no way you can make actual money online.  I’m here to tell you that you can.  I do it everyday.  I make websites and turn them into little money makers 5 to 6 months later.  And that’s the key if you’re a complete beginner or noob, you’ve got to be able to wait these things out and be patient because the web is such that now it’s hard to just spring up a website and make money.  You’ve got to invest time and effort.

This site was made in 2007.  I didn’t even know what I was doing for a year until I read enough blogs and bought enough ebooks to figure out what in the world was supposed to happen.  All I knew is I wanted to make money on the Internet and I was willing to throw spaghetti sauce at the wall until some splattered back with dimes and nickles inside.  Of course, the first step to making anything happen is doing something.

Previously, I’ve talked to you about writing articles for money, but today I want to discuss making your very own website.  Just to let you know, I actually do both.  They both help me in my efforts to make money so writing articles isn’t just something for new people to make income.  I write both because I use them two-fold.  One thing they do is share advertising revenue with me.  Another assist they give me is I link back to my own blogs in the articles to help make even more money.  Pretty cool huh?

Put this drives me to my second point which is I actually own and make websites.  No matter how much cash I make from writing articles, I make much more with my own sites (which by the way I can flip like a house if I wanted to and articles you can’t).  But flipping isn’t my focus today, today is just about getting you to spend a few bucks of investment and start your own little niche blog website about whatever.  I’m literally talking about whatever.  Whatever people search on the web, you can almost always make some money.  Let me throw out some examples to show you just how easy anything can net you cash:

  • cup cakes
  • dog leashes
  • tv stands
  • thermometers
  • lumber
  • socks
  • pet stain remover
  • tree houses
  • grad school loans

Are you starting to get the picture?  Your website or blog can be about anything in the free world.  You just need to start it, treat it like a hobby, and eventually if you stay persistent for about 3-4 months, you’d be surprised how much money you can make.  Now I will warn you that somethings make more than others.  This is just the nature of how things work in the market.  Whatever people pay more for or treasure more, they’re will to pay more for and so advertisers shell out bigger bucks to get the ad space on your site.  On the same token, somethings get searched for more so if you start a site specifically about the Barbie Doll Model #01483 replacement feet, you’re going to be limited to those searches at most.

Anyways, that’s just some great info on how you can wrap your head around this whole Internet thing.  If you have a question, just leave a comment on this blog or send me an email, and I’ll be sure to talk about it next time.  Heck, if you need help setting up your website for the first time, I’ll do that too.

So how do you set up a website?

Oh my gosh, this is so easy as pie.  I wished I could have helped myself back when I started.  All you need is to buy a domain name.  Try to get .com or .net.  My site Domain Shoe.com has cheap, cheap prices on domain names and privacy protection if you want to keep your info (name, address, phone) confidential.  The only other thing you’ll need is web hosting which DomainShoe also has for dirt cheap prices.  What I do is set the prices to the minimum retailer prices I can go so that more people shop there.

That’s all you need to start your very own website.  After you have those two, you’re ready to go and start your own personal blog or nice little money maker on the Internet.
